Twilight Star might get haunted by Apparition

Variety reports that Twilight actress Ashley Green is in talk to star in Dark Castle and Warner Brothers film Apparition. The film is based by on “true events” and follows a couple who is haunted by an apparition during a college experiment. Joel Silver is producing.
You know I wonder how much authenticity is involved when they say that a film is based on “true events”. Especially when it comes to these types of supernatural films.
